we had already been in lChicago a couple of nights and had tried to go up. But the visibility was such that the ticket line person advised against it. He showed us a visibility map and suggested we return the next evening around six which we did. There were people taking pictures in several locations. The decorations were beautiful and so was the view. It was a windy night so some things were closed. We wrapped up our evening with a nightcap in the Cloud 360 bar. It was a fantastic ending to our Chicago trip.

Things to know before booking your 360 Chicago tickets

Booking window

• Tickets can be booked up to several days in advance, with many visitors choosing last-minute options.
• Sunset slots—and packages like Sip & View—can sell out quickly. Booking online secures your preferred time slot.
• Advance tickets skip the on-site purchase counter line, saving precious time during busy evenings.

Entry & routing

• All guests enter through the main entrance at 875 N Michigan Avenue and follow clear signage to the concourse-level ticket area and security check.
• With pre-booked Skip-the-Line tickets, you bypass the ticket counter but still need to clear security and join the elevator queue.
• Arriving 15–20 minutes early helps you comfortably navigate security and ensures a smooth transition to the 94th floor.

Access levels

• The General Admission ticket grants access to the 94th-floor observation deck, where you enjoy floor-to-ceiling views, interactive exhibits, and the open-air SkyWalk.
• The Sip & View ticket offers all the standard deck benefits plus a complimentary drink at CloudBar, ideal for relaxing at sunset.
• Both ticket types include skip-the-line entry at the ticket counter, with no additional upgrades like a TILT ride included with these options.

Ways to explore

• The self-guided experience lets you move at your own pace, taking in panoramic views of the Chicago skyline and Lake Michigan.
• Indoor interactive exhibits provide insightful context on Chicago’s neighborhoods and architectural treasures.
• With a Sip & View ticket, you can pause at CloudBar to enjoy a drink while soaking in the city’s atmosphere, a perfect complement to your visit.

Special access & upgrades

• The Skip-the-Line feature lets you bypass the regular ticket-purchase queue—but note that security and elevator waits still apply.
• While the current offerings do not include thrill add-ons like the TILT ride, selecting a premium package such as Sip & View adds the bonus of a drink and a more leisurely experience.
• Optional bundles from some partners may offer additional perks; however, confirm details at the time of booking as these extras can change.

Constraints & practicalities

• Tickets are timed entry only. Arriving late can mean missing your reserved slot, so plan accordingly.
• Despite expedited ticket scanning, all guests must undergo mandatory security screening and join the elevator queue.
• Weather can affect visibility of the skyline and Lake Michigan. Checking the forecast before your visit is recommended, especially for sunset sessions.
• Tickets are for one-time entry only. Once you exit, you cannot re-enter the observation deck.
